Quilted Apron

A freind of mine name Nelda gave me a pile off her UNWANTED quits.....
can you imagine such a thing..
this one was kinda chopped up ...
but I was determined to make a few things from it...
this Apron is one of the things I have done..

I know it might seems a bit heavey...
but the quilting is quite thin

Then I made this rose zipper flower from a reclaimed sweater
and the leaves are from the same quilt as the apron

I had fun with this project
I love my apron
and my flower
I love using reclaimed materials
and making them new again.

Well, you clever, crafty girl! I love what you did with the quilt and zipper. You'll be the hottest number in the kitchen, that's for sure! (I love the sassy ruffles!)

What a fun project and such a pretty way to use an unloved quilt! I have a couple in my cupboard that I just can't bring myself to part with, even though they are showing distinct signs of wear. Hmmm...maybe I can come up with some creative way to use them.

I just threw away a tattered quilt this morning! I thought it was beyond hope and I throw NOTHING away! Now I see what I could do with it.....I will be trash diving tonight!
