This is For the Birds....

I knew that would get your attention...
I made some fun bird feeders that have been around for some time
but yes I am just getting around to making them for myself.
I am so glad I did because I love them now.
My Good Friend Charlie (her real name is Diana)
got together to make these lovelies.
We search high and low
thru goodwill and thrift stores
to find us some lovely
Tea Cups

I recieved one of mine in a swap earlier this year
I knew I wanted to use it for this
when I joined the swap.
Now it has real special
meaning to me coming from a new freind

The directions are as follows

1- 1/2" copper pipe cut to 3 foot lengths
the place you purchase this should cut them for free
and you will have a small section left.. take that too
for a house plant feeder

1- 1/2" copper cap, per pole

E6000 glue

A Fancy Tea Cup

The techinical part:

1.) With the E6000 glue, glue the cup to the saucer, let dry
2.) With the E6000 glue, glue the copper cap to the center of the
underside of the plate, let dry over night
3.)  Hammer copper pole into flower bed
4.) Put copper top with tea cup on top of copper pole that you just
           hammered into the ground.
5.) Fill cup with Bird seed and watch for the birdies to come.

Easiest craft I can share with you.... have fun, make many they look like flowers out there...

Thank you for sharing the instructions with us! As I was reading the post I wondered "How did DeeDee make that?" and there you generously shared the directions!

I've seen pictures of these on the internet but didn't have a clue how they were put together...thank you! They are totally adorable and a perfect use for those cups & saucers you never use.

How cool! I've never seen this before! Very ingenious I say! Will give this a go for sure!

These are great. I was thinking they would look really intriguing stuck into a thick shrub so they looked like they were balancing on top - just like you've left your cup of tea on it! ;D
