Breast Cancer

I have a freind who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer...
As have many of my freinds.
Scares me a bit every year when I go for my own mammogram...
I go because I do believe early detection is the key to survival.
I highly encourage all my friends, including you all
To go have have your yearly scan..
I wanted to make her a quillo but our other friend did that...
Then my friend Sandy  come over with this
little locket charm and here is what we created with it..

I made her this cute card with
Suzie Toronto graphics
at PcCrafter

Then Sandy beaded these little charms
and the locket
Inside the lock we rolled up a small message
Just for our friend
Signed DeeDee, Gayle and Sandy

I also made her a gift I have given many
Of my friends
Who fall ill.. a place to release it

A Journal

With a special book marker

And a pen to write her thoughts

I would love to show the front of this
But I made it personally for her and
She didn't want me to post her picture
She is a beautiful Lady
Inside and Out
But I respect her wishes.

Please say a prayer for my friend
And all the people of the world
Dealing will illness

And please for me
Schedule your yearly
Mammogram
I had mine , will you have yours

DeeDee, one of my sisters was diagnosed with breat cancer earlier this year, lobular, slow spreading but highly invasive. Thank the Lord it had not spread to her lymph nodes. She is currently going through radiation therapy.

I had a biopsy in '08 and every year (and especially this year) when I have my mamogram I am always a little bit nervous waiting for the results.

I will include your friend in my prayers. Your gift to her is lovely and I know she will love it.

How very kind and caring you are. The gift has come straight from your heart.
Its when there is some sort of tragedy in your life you find out who your friends are....x

Breast cancer is so scary for us all - good advice to get your mammograms every year. It might be a little uncomfortable, but every bit of early detection that is available can't help but be a good thing. I wish your friend luck on her journey.
