My Little Scarecrow

This is a ceramic Scarecrow made for me by my Mom many years ago..I always loved her painting on ceramics...kinda funny I have met several different ladies that do ceramics from all over the country.....you find the ones that think thiers are the best over all others and the ones that think they cannot paint at all....my mom thought she couldn't paint good at all, so my Dad and I would go to the craft sales and sell her things.....she was always in shock when the table come back cleared and empty. Thats partly why I loved it, she was so humble about her work..

I only have a few things left now from her paintings because of moving and all the other stuff life throws your way..This one I had forgotten about until I went to my halloween tubs to decorate for my kids coming to visit. I was pleasantly surprises and this was like a new gift all over again.  Means my Mom's spirit must be with me this holiday season,.he looks great on my front door greeting my guests, and his little spider plays halloween music when pushed... What a blessing uh...

May the Scarecrows in your life always be a blessing in disquise......

Your mom's painted scarecrow is absolutely adorable. What a great lost treasure to be found again. I love the pink ribbons you made -- they are so pretty and for such a good cause! Good wor! Do you crochet or knit? Your Christmas tag is also very cute. Wishing you all the best, :) Tammy

HI
I am Diana and your scarecrow is so cute. It is neat how you found it and I am sure you will hang onto it!!

MY mom made a ceramic christmas tree when I was a kid and she didnt think it came out good. She gave it to me and I really like it, so I know what you mean.

I will check back in to see your crafts and feel free to visit my craft blog anytime.
