National Craft For Your Local Shelter Day

I joined in with Erika and Sebastian for the

Sponsored by her, and some fun
Sponsors donating items.
Check it all out

I chose to help out the rescue that
Helped me to get my pommies

 and

Bentley and I needed a new friend after lil Lucky passed.
Our hearts were so sad and we missed him so much
I had never seen a dog mourn before this
I cannot believe how hard it was for
Bentley to loose
Lucky

So I gave us both a little time to heal...

Then I come across Kim Ray one day on Face Book
We started chatting and before you new it
We were friends with the same passion in our hearts.
Saving pommies, I knew one of them needed to come to my home
She went way out of her way to help us find him
His Name was Max..
A beautiful boy about the same size as Bentley
He was in a foster home in Mississippi
Living with a wonderful foster mom named Renee
I told  Kim I was off work on medical and didn't have the funds
And would contact her back when I returned to work

Then she did something for me I will never for get.
She paid for it all.. arranged it all
And left it with : pay me back when you can

 Meet Max

She didn't know me from Tom, Dick or Harry
(she has her heart in the right place for these pommies)

Bentley now had a new friend to play with
And we all tried to settle into out new arrangement
Unfortunately after only 7 days with us Max passed away
In the night, in the one chair I told him to stay out of
I was devastated, and Bentley once again lost

She then quickly worked her magic and found us Chuck
(we call him Philly Chuck because of his attitude)
(its a good thing really)
And he lived in the same town as we do..
He is about the same size as Bentley
I took the leap of faith
And we picked him up
He is the happiest lil guy I have met
In a very long time
So much personality

Our home is full again

Bentley is now again smiling
Thanks to the great work of Kim Ray and her rescue

Mind you, we live in Fort Worth, Tx
Kim lives in Ohio..

Distance made no difference to her
She worked it all out for us
For a lady and a dog she didn't even know.

They both got new hair do's and little cute bandannas

Chuck is a little photo shy still, but Bentley loves it..

They quickly became best buds and do most anything I ask them
Even this fun photo shoot

I seen the ties over at

I had to make them
Then she told me of this event
She was going to sponsor

They got new bandannas again so they could be poster boys for

Today's special event..

I wanted to help out Kim Ray for helping me get
Max and Chuck

So I am holding an auction for one personalized dog blanket
Kinda like the one you see Bentley on here
Personalized just for one lil lucky pet
Bentley has the wink of approval

Check out the details

Please help if you can
You can bid for the blanket

I so loved this post, Dee Dee, being a dog lover myself. It definitely touched my heart. Your fur babies are lovely...aren't we blessed to have them share our lives?

If you get a chance, I think you'd enjoy my latest post about my own little rescue.

Hope you're having a wonderful week...:)
