Glass Night Light

More Thursday night fun

This week we made night lights....fun uh...I just didn't have my mind into this for some reason...but I still got a ok project out of it....works great in my garage/ workshop to help light my path in the dark...can you tell I love the Merry Go Round Glass Shop in in Fort Worth.....

not a perfect fit...but I just didn't have it in me to fuss with it.

it turned out ok thou ,don't ya think...I love the black patina...it covers many flaws and I love the look of it.

so my boring little garage lite now has some beauty...

I will try this again at a later date when I can finess it to perfection...

Fused Glass Heart

 Ok here is it the project I made from my mistake...it was really hard to get a picture of this...not sure why...but you get the jest.  I love my finished project so much...I gave it to my daughter...lol...no really I liked it enough to share it..

I had to add a little heart to it for her...for my Love..

this a fun glass project .

this is made in the microwave kiln for fused glass that Hobby Lobby sells...so the normal every day crafter like me can have a taste of fused glass...I want to do more of this..I exploded a few and melted soem way farther than i wanted to ...lol  then this one come out and I loved it

Microwave Fun

I had a bit of fun with my microwave today.,,,,I  bought a small kiln for the microwave some time back..finally got me a cheap dedicated microwave for the garage and off  I went to try my hand at Fused Glass. I used 90coe glass that I bought on clerance at Hobby Lobby.  I must say I exploded a few...way over melted a few and got a few good ones...take a look

this one is a mistake due to the bubble in the center..but in person it really looks good this way..I have plans for this one

had to make something fun for my girls...

needs some charms don't ya think

I had fun for my first try...learnt alot...especially  to wear safety glasses cause this stuff can and will explode.

my next post will be the project made from the heart circle...that is really a mistake...come back by and take a look...

Pre-printed Fun

I found this pre-printed fabric at Hobby Lobby...it was to make a Hannah Montana pillow....my little grand-daughter really is into Hannah Montana so I got to thinking.. she didn't need a pillow...but she did need a bag to carry all her fun things to friend houses....so I altered this pre-printed yardage that cost me $1.27 into this fun bag for her...

for her cell phone...lol....lol..yep she has her own fun cell phone..

 I know she will like it and I have a gift that cost nearly nothing, only my ability to alter things ...do you ever wonder ..if your bag could tell a story what it would say about the adventures you take them thru... its like when you pick up and antique the stories it could tell...if we could only know...

now I need something for my little guy.....ummmm thinking....thinking....please let me know of something fun for him...help a grandma out...

Here is Miss Hannah's pillowcase....she seen the ones I made my grandkids and immediatelly asked if I could make her one...I immediatelly said " Yes" ... I love the fluff on this pillows...it is so soft.

look up close...still looks so soft.

and pretty details too..that will fray more with each wash...

I have fun making these...I have so many different fonts so I can get as creative as I want too..

hope she has many sweet dreams with this soft pillow personalized just for her...

As for me I cannot wait for vacation to go meet her...and see my grandbabies...and hug my daughter..and tell my son-in-law just how proud of him I am and send him off to fight the war...as each day goes on, it adds a little more stress to my day... please keep him and his family in your prayers..
