Cross Candle Wraps

I made two more of the cross candle wraps....man I wish I could find a cheaper way to make these....they are a bit spendy to make thats for sure...the one on the burgandy is for my house the one on the black background is for my friend Mike's Mom...her birthday is the same month as mine.   I just love how these look...check out the details up close

look how good this goes in my house too...and so very simle to make...just glue in the layers and make a wrap

I learnt Something New Yesterday!

My friend Gayle and I went for a class yesterday to learn to make Solder Photo Charms. We had the best time and we both just loved this craft. So much we come home and made more...so if you are local and want to learn this I so reccomend going to Merry Go Round Glass Center ask for Vicki and tell her DeeDee sent you, She is the best teacher, lots and lots of patience and so very kind. So here is what she taught us to do

heres what I got done in class..below is my finished one with a finish called Patina. I love the darker color on several of the ones I have started...yes I have several in the works now. Hooked already!!!

After class we went to Pappsitos for happy hour...We had the best day together. It has been along time since just Gayle and I crafted together...We both loved learning this and will for sure be doing more of it. We had a awesome day together. In the back ground of some of the pictures you will noticed a wood jig...Gayle's boyfreind Kevin made these for us and they were very, very useful on holding our charms. So here they are all polished with beads added and looking pretty 1st one is for my Daughter

And here is the one I made after we come home..I have this angel as a picture in my master bathroom I love her.

I had a idea when I went to the shop, here is my hand drawn design verse the one I made..my picture was to small to use the scalloped edge so had to give that up....Can you see the heart?

I think you all should try this craft , it is so much fun...and look at the loveliness even on your first time. My Grandson's Birthday

Is today..he is 2 years old...and almost as Big as his 4 year old Sister.  his Daddy has been away for a month earning his E-5 rank in the Army and come home yesterday just in time. So that is a great gift for my little guy...I made something fun for him..He is a little cookie monster, so this has animal cookies in side..I bought him a cookie monster card too..I also got him some jammies, and cars and some fun things to play with..this is his fun treat.. I seen this water bottle and thought is looked like a rocket...so thats what I made out of it.. I hope he likes it and will have fun getting the cookies out.  I hope this helps you to think outside the box and upcycle sometthing fun......

I Fixed My Blog!!!!!

Ok my blog has been redirecting me to wierd places when I log in....I started a new blog at DeeDee's Craft Journal ..I started to add one thing at a time and found that the snow effect I had on my computer when removed , my blog worked ok...So I am thinking they stopped that effect so my blog when loading didn't know where to go with out that command so redirected to odd places.....Yeppie....Yeppie...I love my blog and my past posts....and all my followers and my freinds and everything here...

so if you are experiencing this problem try to removed some things and see what works.

so glad I get to stay here....

Card Swap

I did a card swap at PC Crafter it has been awhile since I did anything with the messages boards I have been involved in...so thought I would give it a go again...hook up with some of the ladies I used to talk with. I decided since its so close to Valentines I would make one for this holiday...
