Glass Hearts

I am so sorry that my bloggin has run behind..

some health issues have kept me from posting many things..

I will work on this over the next few days..

so somethings are not in correct time line....

but still fun to share...

The Merry Go Round Glass Shop

My Freind Sandy made a beautiful pink heart

I asked to trade but she wouldn't let me..

Pink is my color you know.

hers is so loverly

I made two hearts, the first one all in reds

Don't you love my funky hair doo..

I was so hot this day I could hardly stand it

but that didn't inhibit my production

check this out

then I wanted to make one to send my Son-in-law

stationed in Afganistan

so ofcourse it had to have the same fun hairdo

and Red, White and Blue

and a few fun frilles too

I am getting where I actually like most of

my projects that I make

and building a bit of confidence with my work to

soon I will learn some decorative solder

and move this show to the next level

I cannot wait.

LBH Organizing- Week #5

Well here we are a litel over  1/2 way thru and we have our next Organizing Challenge from one of my favorite places to hang out

Well I don't have many Lotions and Potions...

so my glues and all fit in this one draw mostly

and my stickles and stuff all fit in this lovely pink box

and I found this fun thing to store my daubers

Fabric Flowers

Here are a few more things using that old quilt my friend was throwing out...I have many more project to do from it too... I just loved this one so much...and I have 5 others she gave me too...

Rermember the apron from my earlier post HERE

well this is the little cute flower that was on it....I used a reclaimed zipper from a lovely pink sweater... and the quilt for the leaves, I made them two different ways...take a look see

on this one I didn't blanket stitch them..I rimmed them with the machine.

I have since taken a gold leafing pen and topped the zipper tops...

it gave it so much more

I wish I had taken a pictue of them

then the littlest piece of that quilt I have used so far

a small circle center to the

fluffy tulle hair pin

I think this is adorble and will be taking it

home to my girl

I also have learned to make the wrapped roses.

I love, love , love them lots..

this beauty is made from a reclaimed velvet

bedspread... remember those from the 80's

with the tasseled fringe around the edges
well I had a pink one and a green one

(wish I still had the green one)

I cut this one to be bigger..

almost the size of my palm

But so pretty to me

I so love pink flowers

so soft and purty.

I will have more flowers to come..

I am learning how to make many kinds...

and I still have that cast off quilt

I thought I was in trouble with this one....

since I have done butterflies so many times before....

how could I do something new...

but I did muster up a card that I really liked

Quilted Apron

A freind of mine name Nelda gave me a pile off her UNWANTED quits.....

can you imagine such a thing..

this one was kinda chopped up ...

but I was determined to make a few things from it...

this Apron is one of the things I have done..

I know it might seems a bit heavey...

but the quilting is quite thin

Then I made this rose zipper flower from a reclaimed sweater

and the leaves are from the same quilt as the apron

I had fun with this project

I love my apron

and my flower

I love using reclaimed materials

and making them new again.

Dress Up 2011- March

This months theme at Sewloquacious  was

Pop Art....

 I googled

 Free Pop Art Graphics 

and decided to make a nightie instead of a dress.. so it is a bit shear... Just like many things in the pop art culture

I added all kinds of

Pop Art Talents and cartoons

Thanks to my model..I hope you can see this is

shear nightie..
