ATC Card Swap

I did an ATC card swap this past month.....it was a Alphabet ATC swap...I got letters "K" and "X" . Not easy letters to work with I tell ya. I will end up with an entire set of alphabet ATC cards...fun uh!.. here is what I come up with....

"K" Kiss

this is my sketch. I always have to make a sketch first
peering thru the window like a peeping Tom.

I took this at an angle so you can see the glare of the window. I wanted it to be like you were peering thru the window to witness the Kiss. So I used acrylic I had cut to size...boy did the guy at Lowe's love me hahaha!
but the results gave me what I was looking for

"the X"  Xtra Xtra Read All About it.

this one was hard for me to get a idea, but here is what I did

made from simple Cardboard

not my best , but this one sure was fun for me to make.. I loved the results.
cannot wait to see what I get in return..

PS: I am doing a swap with ladies from all over the world...You can join us and I can tell you how...you only have to make 6 ATC cards and get many in return...if you are interested email me for the info..I will be so glad to have you join me and my friend Donna ( she told me all about it) over at. Brynwood Needleworks ...you know you want too...

Fun Finds

I went shopping for a bit to find a joke to play on my friend Sandy.  We are doing solder charms, well in the book we bought that shows us how the lady has a silver tray she shows her things on. Sandy was joking with me that I should get that...so I did just that...the next time we meet the supplies in the following pics will be my solder tray and accessories...hehehe! So uptown I tell ya....here we go

The Silver Tray

A Butter dish to hold my tools

Mini Bread Tins to seperate my charms , foiled and soldered

fun Crystal Rounds to hold jump rings and beads etc...

all together I will be crafting in style just like the book and surprise Sandy with my class...lol ..I am so glad the Salvation Army had this all on sale for a very cheap price so I could do this.

some other fun finds for later crafts

I loved these plates

and this gravy cup will make a great gift later on this year..

I am very happy to be blessed with crafting friends, so fun to enjoy the evening together crafting, socializing and having a bit of fun...life is good that way.

Card Swap Fun

I joined a card swap in which we had to make summer type cards.. I wanted to learn to make a new type card ...or a new technique...I decided on the Waterfall card...I got lucky enough to attend a monthly meet-up with my Scrapbooking for Lives Group and learnt how to make these. You can learn to make one following this video. How to Make a Water Fall Card  it really is quite easy I think... So I went to the meet up where they sell Close to my Heart to my heart the butterfly card is from them..I love thier stamp pads, so very many colors. You can match almost anything you want...click the link Xellina will get you what you need to do beautiful things...

I made a matching bag to go with this, to stuff a goodie inside..

then I made one with a favorite graphic...both turned out just lovely

I think I met the criteria don't you...well these are on thier way to a place far far away. In The United Kingdom. My swap partner Pauline.

hope she likes them...I might make some of these from my kids pics for Christmas cards...ummm...I like that idea.
enjoy your crafting day.

Just for Friends

I went home for vacation and taught a few friends how to solder....we made a birthday gift for a friend along the way and another for a friend who loves to read, and a fairies charm to hang on a purse

My longtime friend Alice did a great job on her Fairies charm...don't you just love the little dragon fly? I think she did and awesome job and I had so much fun seeing her again and spending the after noon having fun with her.  She also played chalks with my grandkids and taught Danika how to make a star...pics of this will come along later...here is her first charm

Then my girl made a key ring for Danika's godmother for her birthday

and my Son-in-law made a book marker for his first project

and me...I got to sit and watch it all happen....add a little tid bit here and there...but I think they all did a fantastic job...every project thier own...and I had a fun time with all of them...I miss them all lots and lots...
