My friend Becky smokes these Imported Dreams Cigarettes that taste like vanilla and chocolate..can you imagine that....anyway the box smells like you guessed it..vanilla or chocolate..She gave me a challenge to recycle them into something fun.. so I did...with Halloween coming up this was a easy challenge. I made them into treat boxes with the help of graphics from PCCrafter I was on my way..I used a martha stewart scalloped punch and black paper to cover the edges..and they smell like chocolate... so naturally I added chocolate. Happy Haloween

Scrapbook Challenge for September

At my local scrapbooking club called Creative Outlet we do challenges every month using different sketches from various places. Our organizer Angie always picks us some fun ones to work with, this is the one she chose for September. I just loved it and had tons of fun creating this page of my dear grand-daughter....try this sketch for your fun pages...so with out further ado here we go....The sketch and then my rendition of that sketch..

All materials to make this page purchased at my local Hobby Lobby except for the flowers...Flowers are recycled ribbon spool ends from the $.99 rolls covered with coordinating papers. Have a fun scrapbooking day..

Here is the inside of my front door..I used my cricut to cut out the vinyl scrolls I purchased at Vinyl Ready Designs..I got this idea from watching Friends..they have a cute little picture frame around thiers..this fits my style...please check back for Transformation Thursday where I will show the outside of my front door.

Recycled Match Boxes For Halloween

I just loved this idea when my friend Jody sent it to me.She found it Here. I instantly had the idea to make it halloween with a pop up for mints of life savers...I am making a bag for each of my grandkids and these will go in them..I love the original idea and might still need tomake that too....then my friend Paula made this Matchbox ..isn't it just adorable?.. So You can see the versatility of these little boxes...So grap your self one, recycle it and see the fun you could have

Match Box Treat Holder


Empty Slid Match Box
Paint in your choice of color
White Card Stock
Glue
Glitter


Graphics Used: Halloween Fright Night

1.) Measure your match box top, sides and inside of drawer
2.) Paint box inside and out
3.) Create graphics to fit your dimensions, print and cut out
4.) For pop up, cut an extra small tab on bottom of graphic. Fold and glue to inside of slider box
5.) Glue insert into bottom of drawer box
6.) Apply graphics to outside of box as shown
7.) Embellish with glitter or ribbons as desired
8.) Insert mint or lifesaver…
9.) Write push on back side of slider drawer.

Happy Birthday Card

Hi everyone..

Gesh seems like it has been awhile since I crafted last..but I need to get some cards done for a swap so I chose to use Glenna's Roses that you to can purchase at Aimee Ashers. I love roses and so enjoyed working with this set..this is one of a few things I planned to make as soon as I seen them... I encourage you to stop by her shoppe and take a look see.. I hope you can see the little glitter accents I added to the rose bouquet..it is just beautiful in person...
