Special Pin Cushion

I made a special pin cushion for my freind....well I know they are all over the net...in different shapes and sizes and all the fun frilly stuff on them

but this is my first and prally last one I will  make...lol.. I didn't have a great idea to make it different...so all thou it is pretty nothing to great
I did make some fun pins to go with it

and look at this plate...it is the special part....it is magnetic...to hold  the pins
glue a strong magnet to the bottom and Wha La! its magnetic..

hehehe! I just loved that part and I hope she does too..

I also made her a needle keep to go along with it... I recieved one as a gift from Donna at Brynwood Needleworks  1st Birthday Celbration.  I love it and use it often along with my nedle minder she made me... I asked if I could take a pattern off it to make one for my Freind...she said, "yes"  so here is my version...like the pin cushion...nothing to fancy

but what a perfect set...don't you agree

Happy Holidays

  1. Love the pin cushion. I keep meaning to do one of these - I saw some a while ago with a ton of felt flowers on the top. I've been keeping my eye open for an appropriate cup and saucer!

I was going to fill mine with wire wool it's supposed to keep your pins sharp. :D

  3. Hey Dee Dee. I think your gift set is so sweet. Why wouldn't you make another pin keep? I don't sew but I'm thinking lots of glue would hold it all together. :) Best wishes to you. Tammy

  4. adorable Dee Dee... I really like the idea of the magnetic dish, great idea. I would have never thought of that one.

I think someone is going to be very happy to receive that sweet little duo.

    Have a great day sweetie,

  6. That is the cutest thing I have seen in a long time and love the idea of the magnet on the bottom to hold the pins..I might even have to try making one but I am sure it won't turn out as cute as yours :)
